Myanmar nationals returning from Malaysia arrived at Myeik Port in Tanintharyi Region, where they were welcomed by officials, according to reports. On October 14, locals from Tanintharyi Region arrived in Myeik from Yangon aboard a military vessel. Officials welcomed them at Seik Nge Boat Jetty and made arrangements for their accommodation.

Nearly 1,500 Myanmar nationals have arrived in the country’s largest city after being sent back from Malaysia.
