Baba Siddique shot dead: NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique died after being shot by three men in Mumbai's Bandra East.

Baba Siddique of the Ajit Pawar-led NCPwas shot dead in Mumbai’s Bandra East on October 12 evening. Two suspects were detained by the Mumbai police while, the thrid accused is absconding.

According to a police officer, two persons were detained from Andheri east soon after the shootout and further investigations are underway by the Crime Branch.

Baba Siddique, 65, was a key Muslim political leader in Maharashtra and also served as state minister. More than politics, Siddique was known for his socialite image and hosting grand iftar parties every year.

The firing took place outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui's office.

Former Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot near his office. He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
