Amid protests over alleged suicide of student Sahil Wakode, IIT Bombay has postponed the mid-semester examinations scheduled for September.

Sahil Wakode’s parents want to protest outside IIT Bombay’s main gate, but Mumbai Police have directed them to Azad Maidan. The stand-off has unfolded amid continuing scrutiny of the student’s death, campus protests, a Crime Branch probe and fresh questions over institutional response.

IIT Bombay has scheduled an Open House for students at 5 pm today. The administration had asked students to submit questions through a form before the session.
