Weightlifter Harjinder Kaur and long-distance star Gulveer Singh emerged as India's star performers in the Commonwealth Games in Scotland.

Harjinder Kaur delivered a career-best performance to win the silver medal in the women's 69kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Tuesday. The Indian lifted a personal-best total of 227kg to upgrade the bronze she won in the 71kg category at the Birmingham 2022 Games.
