Samarth Singh was arrested by an SIT of the Madhya Pradesh Police from Jabalpur and brought to Bhopal, where he was sent to police remand for seven days, till May 29, by a magistrate court. As the probe has already been taken over by the CBI, the SIT no longer requires his custody, a lawyer said.
