The Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Dahiru Liman, has sponsored a bill seeking to regulate house rent charges imposed by landlords

The Legislative Assembly on Thursday adopted three Bills, including the BDA (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which seeks to reduce charges by 50% for the regularisation of unauthorised houses in BDA layouts by providing property documents to their owners.
