Suspended Sub-Registrar Justin Manikandan Subramanian, one of the accused in the case pertaining to the fraudulent registration of Palani math land, was on Friday remanded in judicial custody till August 21. The CB-CID police on Thursday arrested Justin Manikandan Subramanian in Kodaikanal after the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court dismissed his anticipatory bail petition on Wednesday. He was found hiding in a house in the hill station.

The CB-CID police on Thursday (August 6, 2026) arrested suspended Sub-Registrar Justin Manikandan Subramanian, one of the accused in the case pertaining to the fraudulent registration of Palani math land. The CB-CID police arrested him in Kodaikanal in Dindigul district a day after the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court dismissed his anticipatory bail petition. He was found hiding in a house in Kodaikanal.

Justice K. Rajasekar cancelled the interim bail granted to him, and also dismissed the anticipatory bail petition filed by another accused, Jeyaprakash.
