The Salem city police on Saturday arrested a Village Administrative Officer (VAO) on charges of attempting to sexually harass a 17-year-old girl at Kumaragiri Pettai on Friday night.

The Kollegal CID Police Forest Mobile Squad has arrested a 43-year-old man for attempting to illegally sell Grey Francolins, called Goujala Hakki in Kannada, on the outskirts of Dasanapura village in Kollegal taluk near here on Thursday.
