Christian Eriksen told he can ‘do better’ than Manchester United amid transfer links

Brentford maestro Christian Eriksen has been urged to snub Manchester United in favour of a “better” move elsewhere.
The Denmark hero has been tipped to leave the Bees this summer after storming the Premier League upon his January return, just seven months after his on-field cardiac arrest at Euro 2020. United have been linked with a move for Eriksen, although he is not thought to be a priority for Erik ten Hag.
The club’s failure to secure a top four spot this season will make it hard to attract the top talents, including Eriksen. And one former Premier League striker has aimed a cutting dig at United, stating that the player can "do better” than a switch to Old Trafford.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Gabby Agbonlahor said: “I think he’d (Eriksen) make every team better. Imagine playing with him, the runs you could make, he’d find you with his passing.
“I’m sure he’s got so many options and there’s talk about Manchester United, but I don’t know about that. I think he can do better than United.”
Instead, Agbonlahor backed Eriksen to join up with his former Inter Milan boss Anontio Conte at old club Tottenham, who will play in the Champions League next season. He added: “I think he’s got that relationship with Conte hasn’t he, when he was manager of Inter Milan, so that’s an option for him.”
Eriksen scored in Brentford’s 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea in April, and finished the season with four assists under his belt.
