The Norwegian Nobel Committee revealed that Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado is on her way to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, who is in hiding, will be represented by her daughter at Wednesday's awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, organisers said.

María Corina Machado is being honored for her push for democracy even as she backs President Trump’s military buildup and aggressive campaign against Venezuela.
