by · talkSPORT

Sadio Mane has arrived in Munich ahead of his proposed move to Bayern and could be unveiled by the German champions on Wednesday.

Mane is leaving Anfield after a successful six-year spell, clocking up 120 goals in 269 games for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The Senegal international is entering the final 12 months of his contract and made clear his intentions to seek a new challenge elsewhere.

Bayern Munich have shown their intention to swoop for the forward and reports suggest the six-time European Cup winners will look to tie up the deal by Wednesday.

“All paperworks signed between FC Bayern and Liverpool, Sadio Manw deal completed and sealed. Three year deal, completed on player side,” journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

He also gave an expected timeline of events claiming Mane would undergo a medical on Tuesday ahead of his presentation to the fans and media on Wednesday.

Romano continued by revealing the final fee for the forward will be £27.5 million plus add-ons with a potential package of £35m.

Mane enjoyed a successful spell at Anfield culminating in a clean sweep of domestic trophies as well as a Champions League winners medal in 2019.

He formed a key part of the Reds’ deadly front three with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah that helped fire the club to three Champions League finals in five years.

Mane’s success wasn’t just confined to club football as he fired Senegal to the Africa Cup of Nations title in February, beating Salah’s Egypt on penalties in the final.

Despite Mane being a huge presence at Anfield in recent years, Liverpool appear well equipped to continue their push for honours in his absence.

Jurgen Klopp’s double raid on the Portuguese league leaves the Reds stacked in attacking areas.

January signing Luis Diaz has hit the ground running since his January move from Porto in addition to the capture of Benfica’s Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez, who put pen to paper on a six-year deal last week.

Add to that the Premier League’s joint top scorer Mohamed Salah and Portuguese striker Diogo Jota and it appears that Liverpool have enough firepower to replace the Senegalese forward.
