Andrew and Tristan Tate will remain behind bars for now after appearing in a Miami federal courtroom as they begin fighting Britain's extradition request on 59 charges, including rape and human trafficking.

The brothers, normally photographed in tailored suits and fitted shirts, wore tan jail uniforms and handcuffs during the brief hearing. Neither brother said a word during the hearing.

Their lawyer has claimed they are victims of a ‘political witch hunt’.
