Police in California are investigating after a number of human legs were found washed up on a beach in Palos Verdes Peninsula in Los Angeles, amid fears for two missing fishermen

A family walking on the beach of Palos Verdes made a grisly discovery of a human leg that was seemingly dragged by the currents and washed up on the seashore.

Authorities in Southern California found human remains along a rocky shoreline but have not determined the identity of the person, according to reports.
