A federal appeals court issued a ruling Monday allowing Homeland Security to continue deporting illegal immigrants to countries other than their homes when the need arises, putting on indefinite hold

The ruling addresses the Trump administration policy of deporting people to South Sudan, Rwanda and other distant countries not their own.

In the government's motion, the DOJ pillories the lower court for committing "serious legal errors that justify an immediate stay."
