Alberta Ballet has issued a warning about its newest production, Grimm.

Even though it is based on fairy tales and has Sleeping Beauty as a jumping-off point, the show is not suitable for very young children due to some mature content.

Artistic director Francesco Ventriglia is eager to clarify this, however. It’s not that this new production, which will have its world premiere in Calgary on Oct. 17, is R-rated or anything. But he wanted to ensure people knew what they were getting.
