Japan: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has now sold over 6 million units

According to Famitsu’s latest charts, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has, as of September 26, 2024, sold 6,005,594 copies in Japan.

Worldwide, the sales numbers are even more staggering, with a June 2024 report from Nintendo putting the total from a few months ago at 62.90 million units sold.

It isn’t the region’s best-selling Nintendo Switch game, however, with that title going to none other than Animal Crossing New Horizons, which also happens to be Japan’s best-selling video game of all time.
