Walmart cancels Zelda Switch 2 system pre-orders a day ahead of release

Those of you who ordered the special 40th anniversary Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console at Walmart may have been incredibly disappointed as the retailer has cancelled a number of pre-orders a day ahead of the system’s release. The company accidentally took too many pre-orders and didn’t have the stock to fufill all the orders of which there were presumably many. Kotaku reports that affected buyers received a message telling them that their delivery order was “out of stock.” Not a great look for the large North American retailer.
