THQ says free upgrade to Nintendo Switch 2 version of Epic Mickey when it launches

There’s a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Epic Mickey Rebrushed on the horizon and if you own the Nintendo Switch version then you’ll be entitled to a free upgrade to the new and improved version. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Epic Mickey Rebrushed launches on 6th October, so there’s not long to go now.

Can Switch 1 version owners upgrade to the Switch 2 version for free?

Both digital and physical owners will be able to receive the upgrades of the Nintendo Switch 2 version through a free patch on their Nintendo Switch 2 console. To do so, insert your Nintendo Switch 1 cartridge into your Nintendo Switch 2 and install the game (and DLC, if you own it), or download and install your digital Nintendo Switch 1 version on your Nintendo Switch 2. Then, download and install
the upgrade patch.

• Note that the upgraded Nintendo Switch 1 version and the standalone Nintendo Switch 2 version are still counted as separate products by your console.
