SAIL inks MoU with John Cockerill India to promote Innovation and Green Steel Technologies
by PNS · The PioneerThe Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), India’s largest steel producer and a Maharatna public sector enterprise, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with John Cockerill India Limited (JCIL), the Indian arm of the global John Cockerill Group. The MoU was signed by Anil Kumar Tulsyan, Director (Finance) of SAIL, and Michael Kottas, Managing Director of JCIL’s Metals Division.
The collaboration aims to leverage the combined expertise of both organizations in cutting-edge technologies, industry innovation, and sustainable solutions. The partnership will focus on areas such as carbon steel, green steel, and silicon steel, with an emphasis on advanced cold rolling and processing of CRGO (Cold Rolled Grain Oriented) and CRNO (Cold Rolled Non-Oriented) steels.
Additionally, the MoU seeks to integrate green technologies into iron and steel production processes, improving efficiency and sustainability while adopting advanced steel manufacturing techniques.
