Tottenham ready to launch £65m bid for Osimhen
by Moronfolu Adeyemi · The Eagle OnlineTottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to launch a move for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as the Premier League side look to further strengthen their attack this summer.
Spurs have emerged as the latest club interested in the Nigerian international despite previous unsuccessful attempts by several top European sides to lure him away from Turkey.
The north London club have already established themselves as one of Europe’s biggest spenders this summer, splashing more than £230 million on new players.
Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke are among the new arrivals, but Tottenham are keen to add more firepower before the transfer deadline.
CaughtOffside reports that Spurs are prepared to offer £65 million for Osimhen.
However, that figure could prove difficult to sell to Galatasaray, who signed the 27-year-old for €75 million, equivalent to about £65 million, and have him under contract until 2029.
The Turkish champions have valued Osimhen at €150 million.
The Nigerian striker has also made his position clear, insisting he will only leave Galatasaray if the club wants him to move.
CaughtOffside further reported that Tottenham have received “sporting approval” to “begin formal negotiations” for the striker.
There is also a belief within the club that reaching an agreement with Osimhen over personal terms “would not create a major obstacle”.
Osimhen has enjoyed a remarkable run of domestic success, helping his respective clubs to three league titles in the last four years.
He played a key role as Napoli won the Serie A title in the 2022/23 season before helping Galatasaray claim back-to-back Turkish Super Lig crowns in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 campaigns.

The Super Eagles striker has scored 107 goals in 145 appearances across all competitions over the past four seasons.
His record in the Champions League has also been impressive, with 16 goals in 27 appearances.
Osimhen has repeatedly attracted interest from Premier League clubs, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea among those previously linked with him, but none have managed to secure his signature.
Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich have also been linked with moves for the Nigerian.
