Names of 37 miners who died in NSCDC custody released + Full List
by Adenle Ahmed Abiola · The Eagle OnlineNames of the 37 suspected illegal miners, who tragically died while in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Niger State, have been released.
The individuals were originally arrested during enforcement operations conducted between September 15 and 16, 2026, around Lt Gen Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi Estate in Minna, the Niger state capital.
Meanwhile, the NSCDC has arrested and paraded 24 personnel, including the Niger State Commandant, Commandant Subaru Siyaka Aniviye, in connection with the deaths of miners.
