Jump, a disruptive player in the workforce, just announced a fundraising round of €11 million Series A led by the pan-European fund Breega, with participation from Index Ventures and RAISE Seed For Good. After a first round of €4 million in 2021, this capital injection allows Jump to accelerate its development in France and Europe and, above all, to roll out its innovative model aimed at redefining work for the younger generations seeking freedom.

With more than 4 million freelancers in France and younger generations dreaming of more than just a traditional career, the world of work is undergoing a profound transformation. Key figures show that 1 in 2 young people from Gen Z does not want a traditional permanent contract.

This reflects new needs: flexibility and mobility, while maintaining job security. Jump, the solution conceived and developed by Nicolas Fayon, Thibault Coulon, and Maxime Bouchet, aims to transform their careers into true paths to fulfillment. It is a strategic turning point for millions of entrepreneurs: a world where the traditional work codes are challenged.

The French startup’s mission is to redefine the world of work. With over 2,000 clients, Jump provides access to the best of social protection (company health insurance, employee savings, etc.), giving them a reliable base of tools and all the benefits of salaried employment. Today, Jump is the essential partner for freelancers.

“Today, Jump reconciles the deep aspirations of freedom for younger generations with the essential need for security and personal fulfillment. Since our launch in 2021, we have quickly won the hearts of freelancers, becoming leaders in France. This fundraising will not only allow us to accelerate our growth but also to continue developing our offering to meet the demands of the creators of tomorrow across France and Europe,” commented Nicolas Fayon, co-founder and CEO of Jump

This significant fundraising will allow the young French startup to accelerate its growth and roll out its innovative model across France and Europe, including the United Kingdom. This exceptional Series A, in the current context, supported by renowned French and international funds – led by the pan-European fund Breega, with participation from Index Ventures and RAISE Seed For Good – will enable Jump’s teams to boost brand awareness among Gen Y and Z, who are at the heart of changing work habits, and provide them with even more comprehensive support to help them achieve their professional and personal goals.

“Wanting to become a freelancer without having to worry about the administrative side, Jump offered me THE ideal solution with quality support from the customer care team, at a price I would no longer call advantageous, but standardized. Indeed, Jump has redefined a standard in accessing freelance independence,” added Lilian Saget-Lethias, CTO & Jumper

“Jump is the answer to societal changes and aspirations related to our relationship with work. Independence no longer means administrative burdens and less social protection. With a strong triptych of Product, Legal Innovation, and Human, Nicolas and his team are reshuffling the industry and creating a new category of freelancers. Choosing freelancing by choice, not by necessity, Jump is by their side to embrace this new chapter in their careers with simplicity and peace of mind. A vision and values that resonate with Breega; we feel privileged to support Jump in this next phase,” said Benjamin Deplus, partner at Breega.

To democratize its disruptive solution among Gen Y and Z, the startup aims to double its workforce by 2025. The recent €11 million fundraising will also support its strong growth.
