Metlen Posts Record €6.21 Billion Nine-Month Revenue, Up 21%
by GCT Team · Greek City TimesATHENS, November 2026 — Metlen revenue for the first nine months of 2026 rose 21% to a company record of €6.21 billion, as the Athens-listed group pressed ahead in energy, infrastructure and critical metals.
According to Metlen’s nine-month trading update, total sales reached €6.212 billion, up from €5.115 billion in the same period of 2025. Energy remained the main growth driver.
Those energy sales came in at €4.95 billion, up 22%. By comparison, infrastructure and concessions rose the fastest, by 50%, to €534 million. Metals sales grew 6% to €728 million.
Why Metlen revenue guidance stays intact
Even so, the group faced operational challenges in power generation and volatile energy markets. An extended outage kept its largest thermal H-Class generator offline for 44 days.

Repairs finished and the plant returned to full operation on 12 October 2026. Against that backdrop, Metlen kept its full-year guidance unchanged.
The company still reaffirmed FY 2026 EBITDA guidance of €1.00–1.15 billion. It also repeated its medium-term EBITDA target of €1.92–2.08 billion.
Executive Chairman Evangelos Mytilineos said Metlen continues to execute its strategy with consistency. He pointed to a diversified business model and the delivery of long-term value.
Overall, Metlen revenue held up despite the power-plant disruption, which underpinned the decision to leave guidance intact.
Gas, gallium and storage moves
In addition, Metlen is accelerating expansion in infrastructure, natural gas and critical metals. It earlier signed a five-year Petronas LNG deal for six cargoes a year from 2027.
Commercial momentum in gallium also continued, after a landmark offtake agreement with a major US technology company. Further offtake deals with a Japanese chemicals counterparty are in train.
Meanwhile, the group expanded energy storage, with major BESS projects inaugurated in Greece and Italy. Greece has also opened Eastern Europe’s largest energy storage facility.
METKA’s push as a standalone infrastructure platform under the new METKA Group includes a review of a potential Euronext Athens listing.
Metlen is dual-listed in Athens and London under the ticker MTLN. The Metlen revenue print is the highest nine-month figure in the company’s history.
