George Liagas Reportedly Linked to €2 Million Penthouse at Hellinikon’s Riviera Tower

A report in the newspaper Demokratia has drawn attention to one of the most expensive property purchases recently associated with a Greek television personality — if the claims prove accurate.

According to the paper, presenter Giorgos Liagas has acquired a penthouse in Riviera Tower, the landmark residential skyscraper at Hellinikon, for around €2 million. Journalist Dimitris Chalkias later amplified the story, saying that while Demokratia did not name the buyer, his own information points to Liagas.

There has been no public confirmation from Liagas himself. The name and the price therefore rest on the newspaper report and Chalkias’s comments, not on independently verified records.

The property

Riviera Tower is the most visible residential building in the Hellinikon redevelopment and the tallest residential tower in Greece. By summer 2026 it had reached its full height of about 200 metres, with work now focused on completing the apartments. A purchase there would be among the highest-profile private investments on the Athenian Riviera.

Chalkias also offered a personal estimate of how many square metres such a price might buy. That is his assessment, not a confirmed description of the unit.

What remains unanswered

Liagas continues to present ANT1’s morning show To Proino. Whether he will address the reports is still unknown.

For now, the public record consists of Demokratia’s story about a journalist buying a €2 million penthouse in the Hellinikon tower, and Chalkias’s claim that the buyer is Giorgos Liagas. If confirmed, it would rank among the most striking real-estate deals linked to a Greek TV figure in recent years.
