Greek stocks rally as Athens General Index gains 1.07%

The benchmark index finished the session higher, reflecting broad gains across several major Greek-listed companies.
Among the stocks recording notable gains were Piraeus Bank, which rose 2.76%, Motor Oil, up 2.93%, and Optima Bank, which gained 2.66%.
The session also saw declines among some companies. Lavipharm fell 1.38%, while Orilina Properties dropped 1.19% and Noval Property declined 0.78%.
In commodities, Brent crude oil was down 2.94%, while WTI crude fell 2.43%. Gold declined 0.39%.
The US Dollar Index was marginally higher, gaining 0.04%.
Friday’s advance came as investors continued to monitor developments affecting the Greek economy and the country’s listed companies, with the Athens market maintaining its positive momentum at the close of trading.
