The Tourism in the Years of Climate Crisis conference, known as TCC Forum 2026, begins in Rhodes on Friday, September 25, bringing together tourism, environmental and local government representatives to examine the sector’s response to climate change.

The conference, organised by the environmental organisation “For Nature”, runs until Saturday, September 26, with Green Fund President Giannis Androulakis among the participants.

The forum will examine sustainable practices for tourism businesses, protection of the natural environment, environmental education and the resilience of tourism in the face of climate change.

Organisers will also focus on opportunities for civil society organisations to secure funding for initiatives that deliver environmental and social benefits.

A discussion on the challenges posed by the climate crisis will bring together South Aegean Regional Governor Giorgos Hatzimarkos, Dodecanese Chamber President Giannis Pappou and Green Fund President Giannis Androulakis.

The programme will also include awards for public service officials who contribute to environmental protection, as well as organisations and businesses that support the organiser’s initiatives.

Saturday’s programme will feature discussions on environmental education, funding opportunities through the Green Fund, business sustainability practices, tourism resilience and the protection of landmark trees.

The conference is co-organised by the South Aegean Region, Rhodes Municipality, Dodecanese Chamber, Rhodes Hoteliers Association, Dodecanese Association of Tourist Offices and the Association of Hotel Managers of Rhodes.
