India’s travel trade is turning toward Greece. More than 400 Indian travel professionals are expected in the country for the TAFI Convention 2026, which runs on Rhodes from 4 to 7 October.
As Stefania Souki reported on 28 September 2026 for newmoney, the choice of Greece — and Rhodes in particular — by the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), one of India’s leading travel-agent associations, carries extra weight. It comes as India’s outbound market gathers momentum and Greece tries to push further into new, high-interest source markets.
Delegates will also spend time in Athens. The programme covers not only sightseeing but visits to five-star hotels, plus excursions to Delphi, Arachova and central Greece.
“Hosting the TAFI Convention 2026 is an important opportunity for the Greek tourism market,” said Nikos Kavalieros, partner at WOTF Group. The company is central to organising the convention and its side programmes in Greece, and already works on inbound travel from India, designing and running programmes in Greece and Europe.
