Talks on the future of European basketball have entered another chapter. Representatives of Euroleague Basketball, FIBA, and the NBA met at FIBA headquarters in Mies, Switzerland, to discuss possible paths for cooperation.
No concrete decisions were announced, but all sides confirmed their intention to keep the dialogue open in the coming weeks.
“Representatives of Euroleague Basketball, FIBA, and NBA met today at the FIBA Headquarters in Mies, Switzerland, where constructive discussions were held on the future of European basketball and on potential opportunities for collaboration.
All three parties agreed on continuing the conversation in the upcoming weeks.”
As Eurohoops had already reported, the NBA didn’t make any offer for the acquisition of the EuroLeague, nor were the EuroLeague clubs present, since they are fully supporting the new management under CEO Chus Bueno and President Dejan Bodiroga.
