The 15 best dressed couples at Ladies Day 2026 as Newcastle pairs step out in style

It's often said the best things come in twos and that was most definitely the case at Newcastle Racecourse, as loads of couples matched each other when it came to their superb style. Here we round up our picks for the best dressed couples at Ladies Day 2026.

Us North East folk know that the weather can't always be relied onto play ball up here, particularly for the big occasions and things definitely felt considerably chillier and blustier up at the Racecourse, compared to Plate Day a month ago. But, of course, we are a breed who NEVER need a coat on a night out, so a bit of wind was never going to ruin the Ladies Day fun.

We were up at Gosforth Park nice and early to get the Ladies Day 2026 arrivals as they started to flood in to take advantage of first hour half price drinks and, as well as the array of attention-grabbing hats that quickly descended, some suited and booted gents and of course a whole host of beautifully dressed ladies, there were plenty of couples both showing up and showing out in the style stakes.
