Aston Villa now ready to offer loan with obligation to purchase

Juventus’ Jonathan David is heading towards the exit door and the Old Lady would welcome a loan approach from Aston Villa.

That is why David is the likeliest candidate to depart. David is completely out of Spalletti’s plans and that is why he was left out of Juve’s squad against Palermo.

Our take: Deal could be a gamble

Juve have seen David disappoint throughout the campaign. He is desperate to turn things around, but there is little guarantee that a move to the Premier League can help in that. He has never played in England and his best came in France.

That is why the deal should is risky for Aston Villa. To reduce the potential damage, inserting an option to buy would make sense. Otherwise, they would find themselves in a similar situation to Juventus and Lois Openda, as the Bianconeri had to sign him permanently despite him proving to be a disappointment.
