Wolves and Nottingham Forest talks progressing – Agents contacted, Vitor Pereira pushed deal along

by · Sport Witness

Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers are in talks over a summer deal for Marshall Munetsi, with Vitor Pereira keen on a deal.

Foot Mercato report that Munetsi’s impressive performances on loan at Paris FC have opened the door to a summer move.

Reinvention in Paris

Marhsall Munetsi joined Paris FC on loan in the January transfer window ‘having lost his way’ at Wolves.

The deal has worked out as a smart one for the French side. The 29-year-old has established himself as a key player, with four goals in 13 Ligue 1 games to guide the club away from the relegation zone.

Those performances have earned attention from outside France. According to FM’s sources, Nottingham Forest have identified Munetsi as a target to bolster their midfield.

The interest appears to be coming from Vitor Pereira, who worked with the 29-year-old at Wolves. He is ‘well aware of the player’s qualities’. The Portuguese manager is pushing internally for the transfer to be finalised.

FM report that the two sies are close to an agreement. Nottingham Forest have already begun discussions with the player’s representatives as well.

Paris FC not giving up

The story could continue in Paris, though. According to FM’s information, Marshall Munetsi has already hinted he wants to stay at Paris FC this summer.

No discussions have taken place with Wolves at this moment in time. But that could change quickly as Nottingham Forest continue to make moves.

Nothing is official at this moment in time, and the situation is likely to become clearer in the coming weeks. But Nottingham Forest are currently out in front, thanks to Vitor Pereira seemingly pushing for talks.

Any transfer is likely dependent on their Premier League status, of course. But it seems the Portuguese boss is keen on a reunion at the City Ground this summer.
