Brandi Glanville and Eddie Cibrian were married for nine years from 2001 to 2010, during which time they welcomed two sons: Mason, 23, and Jake, 19.

Eddie and Brandi initially separated in 2009, after his alleged affair with his Northern Lights co-star, LeAnn Rimes, which came to light when security footage of Eddie and LeAnn kissing at a restaurant was published online.

Now, looking back on that time in her life, Brandi talked about deciding to undergo a post-split glow-up, including vaginal rejuvenation surgery, which she said "tightened" her vagina.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) warns that "vaginal rejuvenation" is a marketing term, not a medical term. It apparently used to describe "all female genital cosmetic surgery in general, but usually it refers to vaginoplasty, perineoplasty, or both." The topic is still being researched, and the ACOG states that all kinds of female genital cosmetic surgery "come with serious potential risks."

Claiming that she was one of the "first or the second" people to undergo the surgical treatment in 2009 when it was still very new, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum recently said on her Unfiltered podcast: "That was the only way... to be a virgin again."

"I had the actual surgery, not like these days. That was 2009," she said, implying that there are more non-surgical options today. "I was with Dr. [David] Matlock. He was the pioneer for the surgery. He was the original doctor to do it."

Giving some more context, Brandi said she decided to have the surgery after a comment Eddie allegedly made about the changes in her body after childbirth. "You know, I spit out two kids," she recalled, "and [Eddie] made a comment like, 'It’s not what it used to be.'"

Brandi's Unfiltered co-host, James Maas, was understandably shocked by this specific claim, although this isn't the first time Brandi has talked about this. She wrote about the "intense" procedure in her 2013 memoir, Drinking & Tweeting, in which she revealed that she charged the procedure to her ex’s credit card.

"The pretty intense surgery had an even more intense price tag: $12,000 … A brand new vagina would be an Eddie-free vagina," she wrote at the time. "I decided that since Eddie had ruined my vagina for me, he could pay for a new one... A week after the vaginal rejuvenation surgery, he was on the phone screaming, ‘What the fuck cost you $12,000? Did you get a nose job?’ I responded simply, ‘Yes. A nose job.’ And I hung up."

Eddie, who has been married to LeAnn since 2011, has not spoken publicly about this. You can find the full episode of Brandi's Unfiltered podcast here.
