Gas pains: price per litre jumps past $2 across Lower Mainland

If you waited until this weekend to gas up, you might experience some pain at the pumps.

The price of regular gas has been spotted around the $2.04 mark across Surrey and Metro Vancouver.

Analysts have attributed the climbing price to several factors, including the escalating conflict in the Middle East and oil refinery woes in California’s Bay Area. As well, some of the increase could relate to most retailers switching back to the summer gasoline formula.
