Of Course Justin Baldoni Feels ‘Ecstatic’ Over Blake Lively Lawsuit Settlement

Of course, he’s happy; the two narrowly avoided an incredibly stressful summer. Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freeman, told Extra how the director felt after the settlement. “I can’t talk about the terms of the settlement, but what I can tell you is that he is ecstatic, that both Jamie and Justin are ecstatic at the results of this and the settlement itself, they are very pleased with where this ended up,” he shared.

After a year-long legal battle, Baldoni and Lively settled out of court on May 4, avoiding a trial that was set to begin on May 18. “The end product — the movie It Ends With Us — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life,” the settlement statement said. “Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind.” Freeman did not share who came to the table first, but said Baldoni says the settlement feels like a “logical ending.”
