Andy Cohen Takes Back What He Said About Julia Stiles

by · VULTURE

Some comments deserve a do-over. Andy Cohen apologized to Julia Stiles during Wednesday night’s Watch What Happens Live for his comments about her moves in Save the Last Dance, naming himself the Jackhole of the Day. “Julia, I am so sorry,” he began. “I am the last person who should be giving anyone feedback on their dancing. Case in point.” He cut to a viral video of himself dancing at a Dead and Co. show at the Sphere in Vegas. He didn’t realize his comments hurt her so deeply, and once he saw her stellar performance on Dancing With The Stars on Wednesday night, he ate his words. “Great job, Julia Stiles. You killed it tonight. You did amazing tonight, I know you’re going to have a great run. This diva gives all of you permission to flood my inbox with the ten things you hate about me.”

In her intro package, Stiles says Cohen’s 2025 comments about her dancing really affected her; DWTS had been trying to cast her for years, but she said yes only after hearing Cohen call her “not the greatest dancer on the planet.” She said the comment was “imprinted” in her brain and vowed to sit on Cohen’s WWHL couch with her partner Ezra Sosa when they win the competition. A perfect opportunity for Cohen to apologize in person.
