Man arrested after suspected LSD worth €200,000 seized at Dublin Airport

A man in his 20s has been arrested after Revenue officers seized suspected LSD with an estimated value of €200,000 at Dublin Airport.

On Friday, as a result of risk profiling, Revenue officers seized approximately five grammes of LSD with an estimated value of over €200,000 at Dublin Airport. This consignment could have potentially been used to manufacture in excess of 20,000 doses.

The illicit drugs were discovered when Revenue officers searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Amsterdam.

The man in his 20s has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Monday morning, November 18.

Spokespersons for both Gardaí and Revenue said that investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
