'I counted every chocolate in my Celebrations tub - and hit the jackpot'
by Anita McSorley · Irish MirrorWith Christmas just around the corner, it's now socially acceptable to start adding Baileys and mince pies into your shopping trolley. And of course, the season isn't complete with a tub (or five) of sweets.
In the name of festive science, one person has gone viral for counting the exact number of chocolates that came in their Celebrations box.
The curious shopper headed over to Reddit Ireland to reveal their findings, saying: “Decided to count how many of each chocolate is in my Celebrations box.”
The poster said they picked up the sweet deal from their local Eurospar €3.95. The results showed eight Milky Way, nine Bounty, 10 Mars, nine Twix, 10 Snickers, seven Galaxy, eight Carmel Galaxy and 10 Maltesers.

The post racked up dozens of comments as people weighed in on the contents of the tub.
One user joked, “This is important research Sir, thank you", with over 150 people 'liking' the comment in agreement.
Another chimed in: “You hit the jackpot with all those Maltesers!"
A third said: “I've never seen a box this well balanced ever. One of the better ones.”
Someone else added: “That looks pretty fair to me. Thanks for taking the time from your day to do this.”
However, a couple of naysayers took issue with the recent change in sweet wrappers.
One person griped: “I really don't agree with the new Galaxy wrappers. Can't tell the difference now unless you have the ‘big’ light on.”
Another seconded it, moaning: "Sidenote: these new wrappers are utter s**te.”
As Christmas approaches, many supermarkets across Ireland are offering special deals. Dunnes Stores are selling tubs of chocolate for €4.50, while Tesco matches that price with its Clubcard, and SuperValu has a two-for-€10 promotion.
Meanwhile, Lidl and Aldi have issued a Christmas opening hours warning, as their stores will close for three days over festive period.
