Report claims Min Hee Jin was involved in NewJeans’ independent activities and legal strategy
by Minsoo-Kim · allkpopFormer ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin has become the subject of new allegations claiming she was involved in NewJeans’ independent activities and legal strategy during the group’s ongoing dispute with the agency.
On July 4 KST, Dispatch published a report summarizing what it described as conversations involving Min and her associates, along with materials disclosed during the third hearing of ADOR’s damages lawsuit held on July 2.
According to the report, Min allegedly participated in planning NewJeans’ independent activities, including the group’s performance at ComplexCon Hong Kong and profile photo shoots. Dispatch also claimed that she emphasized maintaining strict confidentiality throughout the preparations and that expenses related to the activities were funded through money raised by the members’ parents.
The report further alleged that Min sought contact and contractual arrangements with a company backed by Chinese capital, claiming she attempted to facilitate a dual-contract arrangement.
Dispatch also asserted that the live broadcast conducted by the members in September last year was part of a broader legal strategy prepared in anticipation of future litigation.
In addition, the outlet claimed that although Min was aware of allegations regarding potential tampering, she continued to publicly deny them. It also alleged that she was involved in shaping the legal defense strategy by adding arguments related to ILLIT during court proceedings.
Regarding negotiations with ADOR, Dispatch reported that the focus had shifted from reaching an agreement to establishing grounds for terminating the contractual relationship.
The report also claimed that Danielle’s mother participated in discussions surrounding the group’s independent activities and legal response, and did not disclose those circumstances during meetings with ADOR.
The allegations reported by Dispatch have not been independently verified. As of now, neither Min Hee Jin nor representatives for NewJeans have publicly responded to the latest claims.
Meanwhile, the next hearing in ADOR’s damages lawsuit against Danielle, her mother, and Min Hee Jin is scheduled for July 23.
