Secret welcomes new member Yebin for 'Secret Flavor' comeback

Secret has made a highly anticipated return as a three-member group, introducing new member Yebin for their special mini-album 'Secret Flavor'. The group, featuring original members Hyosung and Jung Hana, appeared on SBS Radio's 'Cultwo Show' on June 23 to discuss their comeback and the addition of Yebin.

As reported on June 23, Secret released their new album 'Secret Flavor' on June 18, marking their first comeback in 12 years. Yebin joins the group as the main vocalist, completing the new trio.

During the radio broadcast, Hyosung shared the story behind Yebin's recruitment. She revealed that she discovered Yebin on the 2024 JTBC audition program 'Girls on Fire'. After learning that Yebin's debut with the group formed on the show had fallen through, Hyosung personally recommended her to the agency's rookie development team, leading to her joining Secret.

Yebin, born in 2002, expressed her disbelief and honor at joining the group she admired since elementary school. She confessed that she was a huge fan and even danced to Secret's hit song 'Shy Boy' at school events as a child. The members playfully acknowledged the significant age gap, with Hyosung stating their new concept aims for "generation integration."

Jung Hana praised Yebin, noting that her addition significantly lowered the group's average age while increasing their average height. She highlighted Yebin's exceptional vocal skills and her ability to blend Secret's unique charm with a modern, "MZ generation" sensibility, making her a crucial asset to the team.
