Ryu Hyun Kyung says she’s open to marriage, clears up past rumor

Ryu Hyun Kyung has shared her thoughts on marriage, clarifying past misunderstandings while expressing openness to a future relationship.

On April 7, a video titled “Unexpectedly Romantic Full Term Travel Vlog” was uploaded to the YouTube channel of Kwak Tube. In the video, Ryu Hyun Kyung joined Kwak Tube and his wife on a trip, where the conversation naturally turned to marriage.

When asked about her plans, Ryu Hyun Kyung responded, “I do want to get married. I’ve always thought about it.” She went on to address a past comment that had sparked rumors about her mother opposing her marriage.

I once joked on a show that my mom told me not to get married, but that became a headline and was taken as fact,” she explained. “It turned into ‘Ryu Hyun Kyung isn’t getting married because of her mother,’ which isn’t true.

She emphasized that her family is supportive, stating, “My mom doesn’t oppose it at all. She supports me.

During the conversation, she also shared her ideal type, saying she prefers “someone independent who doesn’t rely on others.” At the same time, she admitted to feeling cautious about entering a new relationship, adding, “I wonder if it’s okay to meet someone at this point.”

Ryu Hyun Kyung previously dated Park Sung Hoon after meeting in the 2016 play ‘Almost, Maine.’ The two went public with their relationship in 2017 but parted ways in 2022 after six years together.
