Go So Young reveals the reading glasses she shares with husband Jang Dong Gun

Actress Go So Young showed off a new item purchased by her husband, Jang Dong Gun.

Recently, Go So Young uploaded a video titled "Go So Young family's 100% real daily life revealed for the first time in 16 years of marriage" on her YouTube channel. In the video, she attracted attention by sharing candid moments from a relaxing family trip to Hawaii.

After taking a walk on the beach with her family, Go So Young stopped by a grocery store to pick up ingredients for cooking. Back at their accommodation, she shared a baguette with her family while checking the receipt from their shopping trip. During the process, she pulled out a pair of reading glasses and said, "I need to use my new equipment. I think this one is pretty good."

Jang Dong Gun then adjusted the glasses, saying, "You need to pull it out more. If you do, the light turns on." A built-in light in the center of the glasses illuminated, making them easier to use. According to the on-screen caption, the reading glasses were purchased by Jang Dong Gun and appear to be an item the couple uses together.

The reading glasses featured in the video are different from the necklace-style magnifying glasses that Go So Young introduced on her personal channel earlier this year. The new pair includes a built-in lighting function. At the time, Go So Young drew attention by jokingly referring to reading glasses as her "tattoo item" (a personal staple item in Korean slang) and saying, "I'm learning to accept something that comes to everyone eventually."

The following morning, Go So Young pointed the camera at Jang Dong Gun while he was preparing toast. Looking flustered, he remarked, "People shouldn't see this. There's way too much butter in it." Go So Young came to his defense, saying, "No, that's the secret. Dads are supposed to use lots of butter."

However, during breakfast, she made everyone laugh by adding, "This is actually my first time trying Dad's toast. I never ate it before because it's a calorie bomb."

Now 54 and 53 years old, respectively, Go So Young and Jang Dong Gun married in May 2010 and have one son and one daughter. The couple currently lives in a penthouse in Seoul's Gangnam District, a property reportedly purchased by Jang Dong Gun. The building was acquired for approximately 12.6 billion KRW (about 8.3 million USD) and is now estimated to be worth around 30 billion KRW (about 19.7 million USD).
