Former Sechskies member Kim Jae Duck shares update after five years of silence

Former Sechskies member Kim Jae Duk shared a brief update on his whereabouts for the first time in five years.

On December 31, Kim Jae Duck posted a single photo on his personal account without any caption. The image appears to have been taken inside a hotel and shows a calm ocean view through a window, with a striking red sun glowing beyond the horizon.

Following years of silence, the unexpected post immediately drew attention from fans, who responded with a mix of relief and warmth, leaving comments such as “So he’s been alive,” “Is this a New Year’s gift?” and “We’re always cheering you on.”

Kim Jae Duck had last updated fans on May 1, 2021, after which he went completely quiet, prompting growing concern among longtime supporters. In 2024, the issue resurfaced during a broadcast of KBS 2TV’s 'Mr. House Husband 2,' when Eun Ji Won revealed that he had been unable to get in touch with Kim Jae Duck. During the show, Eun Ji Won attempted to call him, but the call went unanswered. Turning to Jang Su Won, he remarked, “Shouldn’t we go look for him ourselves? We don’t even know where he lives. What is he even doing these days?” Jang Su Won responded, “I don’t know either.”

Jang Su Won later addressed the situation again on his personal channel, saying, “Let’s go look for Jae Duck. I said it jokingly on the show, but people were genuinely worried,” adding that he was still unable to contact Kim Jae Duck at the time. With his latest post, Kim Jae Duck has finally reassured fans of his well-being, even if only briefly, bringing an end to years of speculation and concern.
