PLAVE donates 100 million KRW to support vulnerable children's independence ahead of world tour
by K-Soul · allkpopPLAVE has extended a helping hand to children in need through a major charitable donation.
Child welfare organization Green Umbrella announced on June 19 that PLAVE donated 100 million KRW (approximately 65,300 USD) to support independence programs for children from vulnerable backgrounds.
The donation will be used for the organization's "Pink Passbook" initiative, which helps children build financial stability by contributing 100,000 KRW (approx. 65.30 USD) per month to their government-matched savings accounts.
PLAVE said the donation was made to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of their fandom, PLLI, and to give back for the love and support they have received from fans. The group hopes the contribution will encourage children to pursue their dreams and prepare for a brighter future.
“We wanted to celebrate PLLI’s birthday in a meaningful way,” PLAVE shared. “We hope this can provide strength to children as they work toward their futures without giving up on their dreams.”
The virtual idol group has consistently participated in charitable giving. In 2024, PLAVE donated 100 million KRW to support pregnant women, and last year, they contributed another 100 million KRW to assist children under state protection.
Meanwhile, PLAVE is set to kick off its first world tour this September at the main stadium of Incheon Munhak Stadium in South Korea.
