SeeYa opens up about agency manipulation and financial struggles

by · allkpop

Reunited vocal group SeeYa has opened up about the emotional struggles and financial hardships they faced during their peak years.

Appearing on a YouTube channel on April 8 KST, members Nam Gyu Ri, Lee Bo Ram, and Kim Yeon Ji revealed that conflicts within the group were caused by intentional interference from their former agency. Lee Bo Ram shared that the company spread false information to drive a wedge between the members, leading to misunderstandings that were only resolved after direct communication.

The group also spoke about the stark contrast between their public image and real life. Despite a busy schedule filled with performances, they struggled financially, recalling times when they were unable to afford meals and had to rely on instant noodles. They also described living in poor conditions, highlighting the reality behind their seemingly glamorous success.

Now reunited after 15 years, SeeYa is preparing to release a full length album in May and resume activities, marking a new chapter in their career.
