Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon jokingly asks for spot at YG

Hyoyeon of Girls’ Generation drew attention after jokingly sending a “love call” to YG Entertainment.

On May 5 KST, Hyoyeon shared photos with BABYMONSTER on social media.

In the photos, the BABYMONSTER members were seen reaching toward Hyoyeon, who stood in the center, with everyone smiling brightly and creating a cheerful atmosphere.

Alongside the post, Hyoyeon jokingly wrote, “BABYMONSTER, doesn’t my vocal style seem kind of YG? Maybe secretly look for a spot for me,” drawing laughter from fans.

Recently, Hyoyeon has also been entertaining audiences through the content series “Fake Kim Hyoyeon,” where she jokingly planned a Girls’ Generation subunit called “HyoRiSoo” and even ranked first in a fictional main vocalist election.

During a campaign-themed segment, fellow members Yuri and Sooyoung humorously said, “All we need is YG. We need to escape SM,” while adding, “Honestly, I think I have YG DNA. If I had joined YG, we would’ve beaten TaeTiSeo.”

Hyoyeon previously appeared on the YouTube channel hosted by Daesung, where she joked, “It was always my dream to join YG. Is this dream finally coming true?” making everyone laugh.
