The Night Manager gets nominated at the International Emmy Awards 2024; Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala are delighted

A few days ago, we all witnessed the prestigious Emmy Awards 2024 ceremony. Shogun and The Bear were the shows that triumphed at the ceremony. Now, it's time for the 2024 International Emmy Awards. Recently, the Television Academy awards announced the nominations for the same. From India, The Night Manager has received a nomination. The Hindi crime series stars Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala.

The Night Manager series is the only Indian show to be nominated in the Drama Series category for the International Emmy Awards 2024. The other nominations in the category include Les Gouttes de Dieu [Drops of God], The Newsreader Season 2, and Iosi, El Espia Arrepentido—Season 2 [Yosi, the Regretful Spy]. It's a big feat for the Indian show to be nominated in such a crucial category.

Anil Kapoor, who plays the villain Shailendra, aka Shelly Rungta, has reacted to the nomination news. As reported by PTI, the Welcome actor said that he is quite ecstatic with the nomination. Anil said that he remembers when he got the offer to be a part of the show, he was conflicted. "It offered me the opportunity to play a character so complex, but also, on the other hand, the huge responsibility of trying to add newness and authenticity to a part that had been played so masterfully by Hugh Laurie."

Director Sandeep Modi said that the most challenging thing while making the show was telling the story again in a new way to appeal the audiences. He crafted in character meticulously so that Indian viewers could connect with them. About the nomination, he is excited and beyond happy and thanked the collaborators for their support.

Aditya Roy Kapur, who plays the lead role, also shared his reaction to the Emmy nomination. The Aashiqui 2 actor is elated to receive an Emmy nomination for his first series. The actor said that from day one, they knew they were creating something special with The Night Manager and this feat is something they had not imagined. The actor called it a big moment and revealed how everyone's hard work has paid off.

Sobhita Dhulipala called it fantastic news and said that she's very happy for Sandeep Modi, Priyanka Ghose, and the technical crew. She called the nomination very motivating and moving and gave a big shoutout to her co-stars as well.

Anil further said that this validation from the Emmys only elevates the tremendous love they received from fans worldwide. Kapoor said that it is a worthy reminder that hard work always pays off. He is esctatic and hungrier than ever before to see what's next for him in his career. The Night Manager is a remake of the British TV series of the same name, and it stars Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, and Elizabeth Debicki. The English series is renewed for season 2.
