A federal court has dealt the Environmental Protection Agency a setback in its bid to claw back billions in clean energy funding, and the agency may take the fight to the nation’s highest court.

A court just told the EPA it can’t yank back $20 billion in clean energy grants that were already sitting in nonprofits’ bank accounts.

The agency’s next move could be the Supreme Court.
