Khloé Kardashian Says True Wants a Sister and She’s Considering Using a Frozen Embryo to Have One

Khloé Kardashian’s daughter True, 8, is asking for a little sister, and Kardashian says she still has a frozen embryo that could make that possible. The question is whether she has the energy and emotional capacity to raise another baby.
On the Sept. 30 episode of Khloé in Wonder Land, Kardashian, 42, discussed True’s request with guest Paige DeSorbo. Kardashian shares True and son Tatum, 4, with her ex Tristan Thompson.
“She’s on ice. But I just don’t know,” Kardashian said of the embryo. “I think girls need a sister, but am I just programmed to think that?”
It isn’t the first time she’s raised the idea. During a March 2026 Q&A on her podcast, Kardashian was asked whether she’d have another baby if she met her soulmate. She said she’d “never say never” and would want to marry and have children with a new husband — but she’d also considered having a daughter on her own using a remaining frozen embryo.
“I do have a few more embryos in the freezer,” she said, explaining that growing up with sisters shaped what she wants for True. “But I think I have one girl left, and I have been contemplating, like, do I just do this? Do it on my own, do this? But I don’t know if emotionally I could handle this.”

In that March conversation, she said she’d consider using a surrogate and hoped to be more involved in the pregnancy than she’d been able to be during what she described as the trauma surrounding Tatum’s surrogacy experience. She also acknowledged that an embryo transfer might not succeed, and said she’d accept that outcome.
“It’s just been a thought. I don’t think it’s going to happen, because I don’t have the energy,” she said.
True, meanwhile, already knows about the embryo. “And True knows she has a sister in the freezer. And she will tell people that,” Kardashian said in March, before joking: “I’m like, we need context, though. They’ll think I have a little girl in my freezer.”
