DOUBLEDRAGON CORP. said its 519-room Hotel101-Davao is scheduled to open on July 30, making it the largest hotel in Mindanao by room count.

The hotel is located on a 5,384-square-meter property along Eco West Drive in Davao City, about a one-minute walk from SM City Davao.

In a statement on Monday, DoubleDragon said the hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant operated by HBNB Kitchen, a fitness gym, a swimming pool, function and conference rooms, and a helipad.

Hotel101-Davao forms part of DoubleDragon’s hospitality expansion program, which is expected to add 2,229 hotel rooms this year.

The additional rooms comprise 680 rooms at Hotel101-Madrid in Spain, which opened in March; 519 rooms in Davao; 548 rooms in Cebu; and 482 rooms at Hotel101-Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, which is scheduled to open in December.

DoubleDragon said 2026 is expected to mark a significant increase in recurring revenues from its portfolio of community malls, industrial warehouses, office properties, and hospitality assets in the Philippines and overseas.

The company said Hotel101 Global aims to expand its footprint through the licensing of its hospitality business model and is targeting 1 million rooms across 100 countries.

“The DoubleDragon team is committed to put in the necessary hard work, entrepreneurial grit and perseverance towards this vision and eventually aims to make Hotel101 a truly global brand operating in various jurisdictions worldwide, and eventually bring a pinch of pride and honor to our fellow Filipino countrymen,” the company said.

DoubleDragon is targeting more than P500 billion in consolidated revenue, over P50 billion in net income, a debt-free balance sheet, and annual dividends exceeding P12 billion by 2035.

Shares in DoubleDragon rose by two centavos, or 0.16%, to close at P12.60 apiece on Monday. — Alexandria Grace C. Magno
