Summary

IWC marks Mercedes‑Benz’s 140th anniversary with a limited Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar ProSet, restricted to 140 pieces.

Powered by Calibre 82665, the watch features a forward/backward crown‑set calendar, gold accents and a historic 1926 logo caseback.

IWC has unveiled the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar ProSet 140 Years Mercedes‑Benz edition, a limited timepiece created to celebrate the German automaker’s 140th anniversary. The release deepens a rich partnership that began with Mercedes-AMG in 2004 and expanded to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team in 2013. Capped at a fittingly limited run of just 140 pieces, the commemorative timepiece pays homage to both brands’ shared dedication to engineering, high performance and pioneering design.

Housed in a brushed and polished 42mm stainless steel case measuring 14mm in thickness, the watch pairs a matte black dial with solid gold appliqués and gold-plated hands. The layout features four subdials displaying the date, day, month, and a four-digit year, along with IWC’s signature Double Moon® phase display at 12 o’clock, which requires a one-day correction only once every 1,040 years.

Flipped over, the sapphire-glass case back reveals the historic 1926 logo that marked the initial merger between Daimler Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie., combining the iconic three-pointed star with Benz’s classic laurel wreath. The piece comes fitted on a black rubber strap equipped with IWC’s tool-free EasX-CHANGE® system.

At the heart of the timepiece is the IWC-manufactured 82665 caliber, which introduces the brand’s groundbreaking Perpetual Calendar ProSet module. Protected by four patents, this revolutionary gear-driven mechanism allows the perpetual calendar to be adjusted both forward and backward using a single position of the crown — eliminating the need for extra pushers or complicated setting menus. Crafted using microscopic LIGA lithography technology, the movement also features a silicon hairspring, a nickel-phosphorus escapement, and a ceramic-reinforced Pellaton automatic winding system that delivers a 60-hour power reserve.

The Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar ProSet 140 Years Mercedes‑Benz edition is now available for inquiry via IWC’s official website and boutiques.
